What advice are you after?
Most employees working from home will be covered by their employers own insurance.
The employer will normally be required to notify their insurance company to include this known home worker in the policy.
If you are working from home and are looking for your own insurance you need to consider what the additional risk is that you want covered. Your own insurance company or a local broker may be able to offer policy specific advice.

All UK employers must take out Employers liability insurance. It is compulsory to have the insurance and to display the certificate.
Here is a link to the relevant legislation.

It does not matter whether they are home based or not. The purpose is to protect 3rd parties from damages caused by the actions of your employees.
