Entrepreneur who quit job for franchising urges you to make the move to self-employment

Franchising with Mac Tools gave Claudio Zanobini the freedom to develop his own working methods. Is it the business opportunity you’ve been looking for?

Franchisee Claudio Zanobini is urging those who are considering quitting their job for franchising to “just go and do it” after achieving award-winning franchise success with Mac Tools.

Since leaving a senior management position to join Mac Tools as distributor for Exeter in 2010, Zanobini has made the most of self-employment by developing his own sales techniques which have fostered fruitful relationships with customers.

Zanobini’s “winning formula” has been repeatedly celebrated by Mac Tools: he was named Rookie of the Year in 2011, and in 2012 received a Gold Award for his franchising achievements. Earlier this month, Zanobini was given Mac Tools’ Diamond Award.

The franchise brand, which launched its UK operations in 1990, retails automotive tools and equipment through its network of franchisees, which it is currently looking to grow.

To those considering franchising with Mac Tools, Zanobini advised:

“Don’t hesitate, just go and do it. This is a role ideally suited to people who like people and can interact well. You don’t need to be the world’s greatest salesman, but you need to be consistent in everything that you do.

“Always remember that every day is a fun day and with every visit you are another step closer to that sale!”
