Insurance for Cleaning Company
Can anyone tell me what insurance is required ofr a cleaning company…public, business, employee etc. I am most concerned about providing insurance to clients in case of damage etc. Thanks
Try contacting an insurance broker specialising in commercial insurances and they should be able to advise as to what is on offer and whether it is suitable for you. Another idea is to pretend to enquire about other cleaning companies and ask what insurance they have! In general you need to consider what could go wrong, what you could be held liable for etc and take appropriate cover. Brief snippet: Employers liability covers you for injuries etc to employees when at work or as a result of their work for you – on or off the premises (it is compulsory and you must be covered for at least £5m) Public liability covers you for claims made against you by the public or other businesses for injuries etc caused by yourself (by you or your employees). It is advisory but worth it probably if you are constantly working at other people’s premises.
Thank you. I have managed to sort it…much less than I expected – £196.00 all in. Your advice is much appreciated though. Simon
