to franchise or not to franchise?
I have a business which utilises an online website to show customers documents. The back end includes professional scanners and servers to process and upload the documents. We are charging just 30-40p per scanned document and a monthly fee of around £40-£120. There are fees for collection / both electronic and physical. My thoughts are….. The software has been written by myself to include locational accounts (just a sub account) so that my company can be the main admin account, and any others can be sub accounts (they can only access their customers) therefore my thinking is that i could set up franchises who would need to purchase a server (low cost) & scanner (again low cost) and use my software to run on the server (for uploading) and my current web site for the display of the data. (hardware cost approx £1k) But… I have no idea regardig franchises. How to market, what to charge etc. Any advice?
Well, you should set up the list of package services you are offering, including their prices and fees, the terms, etc. And to market, try to attend exhibitions such as expo’s.
