What should I sell on my market stall??
Hi, I’m thinking of starting a small market stall and I am racking my brain over what I could sell I first thought of musical instrument stalls but theres one I know in another market that doesnt seem to get much business. Anyone know of any successful stalls? Whats good to sell/not good to sell. How much do market stalls cost to run. Any other suggestions that would be helpful Cheers!!!
Hi Thanks for replying
I like Music, Money, Management & History. the market is in north west england.
working class people tend to goto the market so cheap things are probably best.
Well from what you’ve said I can only suggest…
Consider the type of items already sold in the market and consider things not already there that could be similar, complementary, or of interest to the people that attend.
Music… probably the best of the things you mention though I think with alternatives available for customers including the internet it may be a little difficult unless you find some niche that can have a decent demand.
Also consider your supply. I presume you have no suppliers lined up and it may be difficult to find one easily where you can get good margins on cheap items – unless you are buying in bulk.
Hmm… A healthy piece of advise would be selling something unique but at the same time "necessary". And of course, it’s better if you’re using what you would be selling as well. Other essential aspects to consider are the local demands and your supplier of course.
