London to host funding event for tech firms
London’s top technology businesses are being encouraged to attend a new networking event centred on early-stage investment.
Library House, BBC ‘Dragon’ Doug Richard’s business research firm and member of the gateway2investment (g2i) consortium, is hosting Meet the Companies: Early Stage Investment in London on 21 September to open up what it feels is London’s hidden ‘cluster’ of technology and enterprise.
Select businesses from across the capital’s spectrum of early-stage technology enterprise will pitch to a panel of investors and later answer questions from both the panel and the audience in a bid to win funding.
The event also aims to inform companies of g2i’s investment readiness activities, showcase some of the top early-stage companies and facilitate networking.
The consortium will also use the event to launch a new report, London: Anchoring European Technology Investment.
Young companies, policy makers, business angels, venture capitalists and professional service groups and advisors are all encouraged to attend the event, which will take place at Grant Thornton House.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to visit www.g2i.org for more information.
