Monetisation platform MPP Global lands £12m in Series B funding
Investment will enable Warrington firm to expand internationally and invest in the development of its eSuite platform
MPP Global, a digital monetisation cloud platform, has announced the completion of a £12m Series B funding round led by Albion Ventures and Grafton Capital.
Founded in 2000, Warrington-based MPP Global’s eSuite platform delivers digital monetisation services to clients across the media, sport and retail sectors, helping them to convert and retain paid users both online and in-store.
The company counts The Times, McClatchy, L’Equipe, Racing Post, Local Media Group, The Irish Times and The Daily Mail amongst its clients, as well as a number of other global media brands.
MPP Global will use the investment to expand into new international markets and improve its eSuite platform. Former Mimecast chief operating officer Keith Wallington has joined the business as chairman.
Paul Johnson, MPP Global’s CEO, commented: “We are incredibly excited to be embarking on the next chapter of MPP Global’s evolution, embracing new markets and launching a stream of new eSuite features. We welcome Wallington to the team as we look forward to raising international awareness of our leading eSuite platform in the United States and Asia Pacific region.”
Ed Lascelles, partner at Albion Ventures, said, “This is a compelling opportunity for Albion to invest in a market-leading, high growth and profitable business run by an entrepreneurial and motivated team. We see the market for paid over-the-top content growing rapidly over the medium term and MPP Global is well placed to consolidate its position as the category leader.”
