Online business training from Startups.co.uk and Actinic
Free programme to help budding entrepreneurs get their online idea off the ground
A new training program offering essential help for budding online entrepreneurs trying to get their business ideas off the ground.
The program is a joint venture between Startups.co.uk and software specialist, Actinic and provides free half-day courses to help future entrepreneurs understand the opportunities and pitfalls of the online market.
Launched in February this year in association with Startups.co.uk, the premier resource for new businesses, ‘Starting an Online Business’ provides internet startups with all the information they need to get up and running. Following a very positive response from delegates, Actinic has added three new dates: Thursday 21 April, Wednesday 18 May and Thursday 16 June.
The course lasts half a day and covers the basic steps to set up an ecommerce business, along with the key skills involved in selling and marketing on the web. A nominal fee of £25 is charged, refundable on purchase of any Actinic ecommerce product. Other elements of the course will concentrate on selling goods and services that are available offline or over the phone, areas that represent the biggest part of the Internet sales market.
Those attending the program will also receive a free copy of Actinic’s catalogue 25 which will enable them to open a web store with up to 25 products.
Chris Barling, CEO at Actinic, said: “If you do it right, then selling online has huge cost and geographical advantages over opening high street shop, but the crux is ‘getting it right.
“So we’ve designed these courses to give best practice, practical advice on all the facets of running you’re own web business successfully.”
