Regional Growth Fund application forms now online

Firms can now apply for share of £3.2bn government scheme

Small firms wishing to apply for a share of the latest round of the government’s £3.2bn Regional Growth Fund scheme can now do so through application forms posted online.

Launched in 2011 by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the scheme aims to boost economic growth and job creation in local areas by encouraging businesses struggling to secure other means of finance.

Its fifth and current round will focus on private enterprise projects or proposals costing in excess of £1m and which are likely to generate private sector investment and boost the economy as a whole.

Last month, deputy prime minister Nick Clegg urged “high quality” businesses to come forward and bid for a slice of the £3.2bn pot, following the success of its previous four rounds with more than £2m awarded to over 300 projects and programmes.

Businesses can download the application form for projects by clicking here and the form for programmes can be found here.
