Robin and Saul Klein join forces for European tech fund
Father-and-son investor duo's LocalGlobe VC fund will focus 85% of its investments into tech businesses in London
Father-and-son investor duo Robert Klein and Saul Klein have partnered to launch their own European venture capital (VC) technology fund; LocalGlobe.
Primarily, LocalGlobe will commit 85% of its funds to making seed stage investments into business in London to take advantage of the capital’s thriving tech scene.

The remainder of the funding will be going to companies based in Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh, and Europe.
Two investors from Saul Klein’s former VC fund Index Ventures – Ophelia Brown and George Henry de Frahan – recently joined LocalGlobe as general partner and early stage investor respectively.
The Klein’s have been investing in London start-ups for more than 20 years, co-founding early-stage tech investment vehicle The Accelerator Group together in 1998.
Saul Klein’s son Alex Klein is also active in the start-up space as co-founder of fast-growth DIY computer kit company Kano.
