Start-ups offered an accelerator course in crowdfunding from Crowdcube

Graduates of the programme to earn a guaranteed place on the Crowdcube platform

UK-based crowdfunding platform and Startups 100 Company Crowdcube has launched its first accelerator course. Running for three weeks from October 25, the £200 programme is set to teach start-ups and small business owners how to win crowdfunding, offering advice on effective business plans, pitches and investment proposals.

With only one in four applicants receiving a place onto crowdfunding platforms, Crowdcube hopes to boost the financing opportunities for start-ups by offering guidance from entrepreneurs who have previously secured investment from the platform.

The course, which finishes with attendees pitching their business to a room of investors and crowdfunders, guarantees all graduates of the programme an immediate place on the Crowdcube platform. Luke Lang, co-founder of Crowdcube hopes that more start-ups will have the opportunity to benefit from the crowdfunding platform as a result of the programme: “We wanted to provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to meet investors face-to-face, at the same time as giving practical guidance that would help them improve their chances of success to list and then raise finance on Crowdcube. “The Accelerator programme combines both of these aims into a single course programme that entrepreneurs can fit into their busy schedules.”
