Debbie says signing has benefitted her two daughters. “They used sign language before they could even talk, and it has improved my six-year-old daughter’s literacy at school.”The School of Sign Language is heavily involved in a campaign to get BSL legally recognised by the government, and won silver at the Barclays Trading Places Awards in October.
