It’s a scene straight out of Spooks – using your coffee table to surf the web, order retail products and read the news. LifeSize Touch has brought this futuristic ideal to life as the world’s first commercial designer and manufacturer of interactive furniture – bespoke tables, desks and counters with embedded glass touchscreens. Founded in 2011 by digital tech entrepreneur Sheena Mackenzie, the company specialises in large touchscreens for commercial and exhibition use. LifeSize Touch officially launched its first range of furniture in May 2013 and has already added prestigious names such as IBM and Schuh footwear to its client list. The majority of the company’s investment has so far been spent on research and development of its innovative products, but the brand has ambitious plans for global expansion following the establishment of its line of furniture in the UK.
