Ambitious early-stage companies now have an extra week to apply for the Startups Awards 2017, as the deadline for entries has been extended to midnight on Friday 22 September.

This is the 14th year for the annual Startups Awards – the longest running awards of its kind – which celebrates the achievements of the most disruptive and exciting businesses in the UK.

With headline sponsor The Start Up Loans Company, as well as bronze sponsors AXA Business Insurance, haysmacintyre and 123-reg, there are 15 different awards categories to enter including The Start Up Loans Start-up of the year, Innovative Business of the Year and the Women in Business Award. 

Jamie Waller, the founder of JBW Group and CEO of Firestarters– the £13m investment fund for ‘unsexy businesses’ – has been announced as the latest judge to join the prestigious panel that also includes Liz Earle Wellbeing founder Liz Earle MBE, Dragons’ Den’s Touker Suleyman,  and BGF Ventures’ Simon Calver.
