Enterprise Editor, The Times
James Hurley is a highly regarded business journalist and enterprise editor of the The Times.
Prior to that James was the director of content strategy at integrated PR and social media agency Albion Drive. He had joined Albion Drive from the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, where he was enterprise editor and also the Business Club Editor.
In 2012, during his time at the Telegraph, James won Santander Enterprise Journalist of the Year award.
Until 2010, James was editorial director at Crimson Publishing for just over two years. He was in charge of content for Crimson’s business titles Startups.co.uk, Growing Business and MyBusiness.
He carried out cover interviews with Sir Charles Dunstone, Duncan Bannatyne, and Sir Philip Green, among others, and was influential in building Growing Business’ online audience.
During his time at Crimson James was also involved in producing customer media publications for a range of blue-chip clients and content to support Crimson’s events, such as the Startups Awards and Fast Growth Business Awards.
He joined Crimson from White Digital Media, where he was editor of the web-based publication for executives, Exec Digital.
