Startups Awards: deadline extended by popular demand
Entrants now have until Friday 28 September to apply
Entrepreneurs who are yet to enter this year’s Startups Awards have been offered a green light, after the deadline was extended.
Our prestigious annual awards were due to close for entries last Friday, but the deadline was shifted to 28 September.
Startups’ founder David Lester said: “I am overwhelmed at the number of successful start-ups that are thriving in the UK today. The quality of the businesses that have entered so far is outstanding.
“I am confident that we are on target for a record year!”
The Awards have previously recognised fledgling firms including Wonga.com, Naked Wines and The Cambridge Satchel Company, which are now celebrating multi-million pound turnovers.
NatWest are the headline sponsor of this year’s event with category sponsors including All Response Media, The Made Simple Group, Simply Business and Printed.com. The judging panel will be led by Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne.
He will join business leaders including James Hurley, enterprise editor of The Daily Telegraph, to judge this year’s fourteen categories – including Freelance Business of the Year and the Adversity Award.
