Tech leaders unite to support UK’s fledgling e-commerce start-ups
Senior executives from Facebook and Google have joined Forward Partners' mentor network FP50 to help "nurture" the UK's next generation of e-tail entrepreneurs...
Facebook and Google are among 50 high-profile tech businesses that will be supporting emerging UK e-commerce start-ups as part of a new collaborative mentor network; FP50.
The network, organised and launched by early-stage e-commerce investor Forward Partners, will see senior executives from each business – which also includes Funding Circle, Onefinestay, Citymapper, Coinfloor and YPlan – provide advice and mentoring to help “nurture the UK’s next generation of e-commerce entrepreneurs”.

The network will act as an open forum, allowing early stage founders to collaborate with and learn from seasoned entrepreneurs. Mentees will be able to view profiles of each of the 50 experts and ask to be introduced to the one who they think would most benefit their business.
Nic Brisbourne, managing partner at Forward Partners, commented: “As an entrepreneur, being able to talk with someone that has experienced what you’re going through can be incredibly powerful.
“The FP50 mentor network is a select network of mentors who want to build meaningful relationships with the UK’s next generation of start-up leaders.”
