Techspace launches new co-work space in Aldgate

New six floor Leman Street site will aim to provide space to high-growth tech firms with between 30 and 100 employees

Co-work space provider Techspace has today announced the opening of a new flexible co-working office in London’s Aldgate on the back of a £5m Series A round in June.

The 27,000 square foot six-floor space on Leman Street will feature 450 workstations and be open to high-growth, Series A funded technology firms with 30 to 100 employees.

The new site will also offer ‘enterprise membership’, giving companies the chance to rent self-contained floors with access to private meeting rooms and kitchens. Techspace hopes this will give them the chance to develop a company culture without being tied into restrictive leaseholds.

Founded by David Galsworthy and Alex Rabarts in 2012, the London-based business is aiming to bridge the ‘scale-up gap’ by offering growth space to larger, more established companies as well as start-ups.

Galsworthy said: “With a host of new amenities being built for Aldgate, the expansion to Leman Street is a natural progression for us.

“It is a vibrant area that has already seen a number of tech giants move in recently and we expect demand to continue to grow as London remains a premier location for technology companies to operate in.”
