March Start-Up Series: last chance to enter £150,000 competition

Enter before midnight on Tuesday 14 March for the opportunity to win equity seed funding, business support and extensive media coverage

Ambitious UK start-ups have until midnight on Tuesday 14 March to enter the March Start-Up Series competition and be in with a chance of winning £150,000 equity seed funding.

Launched as a partnership between and established investors Worth Capital, every month The Start-Up Series gives one early-stage company the chance to win a share of investment from a £1.8m Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) fund, as well as business support from Worth Capital and extensive media coverage on Startups’.

RentalStep, the brand new online property rental platform, has just been named as the winner of the October Start-Up Series competition. Founder Mike Georgeson told Startups he will use the £150,000 in funding to invest in website development and marketing and cited that the competition process was “superb”.

To be eligible for The Start-Up Series and win £150,000, you must:

  • Be a UK resident with a UK-based business
  • Be 18 years-old at time of entry
  • Have been trading for less than 21 months
  • Have less than £200,000 and employ no more than 25 staff

If your application is successful you will be required to take part in a video interview with Worth Capital and submit a detailed business plan.

Georgeson commented: “Applications closed in mid-October and it was all done and dusted by the end of November […] The whole process has been superb […] Worth’s experience is invaluable to us.”
