Tutor Doctor ends year of rapid growth with opening of 500th franchise

The global tutoring brand is expanding its team on the ground to cope with “increasing demand” and has opportunities available for those looking to start a tutoring business

One-to-one tutoring franchise Tutor Doctor is celebrating a “phenomenal” 2016 after signing its 500th franchise and launching in 22 new territories over the last three months.

The chain, which provides tailored in-home tutoring for school students, currently runs franchises in 15 countries.

Of all the countries it operates in, Tutor Doctor has said that its UK-based franchises achieve the fastest growth in like for like sales and have continued to maintain this rate since the first UK territory launched in 2009.

Nottingham-based entrepreneur Joanne Stuttle is recognised by Tutor Doctor as its fastest growing UK franchisee, having tutored a record-breaking 70 families after less than five months in business.

To support its rapid growth, Tutor Doctor is expanding its team on the ground, having already recruited former language education franchisee Jonathan Hayes as franchise field consultant.

Frank Milner, president at Tutor Doctor, said: “Reaching our 500th franchise is phenomenal and something that we’ve only been able to achieve thanks to our dedicated, hardworking and hands-on team.”

UK country manager, Tim Morris, added: “The demand for the service is ever increasing.

“Parents and teachers alike recognise that a personal, one-to-one approach to learning can massively benefit a child’s performance, their confidence and their overall happiness as a result.”
