Having featured in our Startups 100 index, and as one of our ‘Young Guns to Watch’ last year, it was almost inevitable that Aden Levin and Rob Tominey’s travel start-up would graduate to fully-fledged members of our 2015 Young Guns class.

Founded in 2011, Mainstage Travel offers the 18-24 market cut-price holidays to “the world’s biggest clubbing destinations and best ski resorts”, including Magaluf, Croatia, Ayia Napa and European ski festival Snowboxx,

Since launch the company has seen rapid growth, with its bulk discounts on everything from flights and accommodation to festival tickets attracting tens of thousands of travel hungry party-goers.

In January last year the pair secured £100,000 on Dragons’ Den from IT pioneer Piers Linney – the third most valuable deal in the show’s history at the time – after impressing with their profitability and projected growth.

Having achieved turnover of £4.5m just four years after launch, it seems the party shows no signs of winding down for this duo. With mass market appeal and low costs, the travel start-up looks set to fulfill its ambition of becoming “the number one company for inexpensive but high quality travel.”
