Dartmouth Partners, the recruitment firm founded by 2013 Growing Business Young Gun Logan Naidu, has announced the launch of a new legal recruitment venture – Dartmouth Partners Legal (DPL).

The company’s initial focus will be on UK private practice recruitment, with plans to eventually widen its remit to operate in cooperation with the existing Dartmouth Partners business.

Launched in 2012 by Naidu; who was recently named in Debrett’s 500 people of influence 2016 index, Dartmouth Partners works with educational organisations to  identify and offering its clients access to up and coming young talent.

The company saw rapid growth in the UK and launched its first international office in Germany last month.

Gavin Sharpe, who co-founded legal recruitment specialist Shilton Sharpe Quarry, will continue in his role as non-executive director, as well as becoming senior adviser to the group. Mary Verity, formerly of Travers Smith LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus LLP, and Piers Collins, who moves across from Dartmouth Partners, are also joining DPL.

Naidu commented: “I am extremely excited by the beginning of a new recruitment chapter. The [Dartmouth Partners] business has doubled in size year on year since 2012.

“Legal dovetails neatly with our current divisions and there are great synergies and opportunities for us to fulfil our corporate ambition to be number one or number two in all our markets.”
