Young Gun founded companies Graze and Secret Escapes are among the investments that venture capital (VC) trust Octopus Titan has said delivered “significant growth” and helped it post £15m full-year profits.

Snack box business Graze was founded in 2007 by Graham Bosher, who went on to make a successful exit from the company in 2013 following a management buy-out.

Founded in 2010 by Tom Valentine, Secret Escapes negotiates exclusive rates for UK luxury hotels and holidays. Octopus participated in a $60m Series C funding round last year, which helped the travel firm ramp up international expansion in the US and Asia.

Octopus Titan has £228m invested in early-stage UK businesses, with around 50 portfolio companies including property platform Zoopla. The VC fund added 13 new businesses to its portfolio in the 12 months to October last year alone.
