Jamie Woods, 28
Company:
JCW

Things weren’t looking good for recruitment firm JCW in 2008, when its entire client base was made up of banking and financial organisations – a sector that didn’t exactly remain unscathed by the recession. The fact it recovered to see high growth of both profits and turnover in 2009 is testament to its resilience and ability to adapt, as well as the determination of 28-year-old founder Jamie Woods. With JCW currently operating as supplier of choice to a number of FTSE 100 organisations, introducing risk management, regulatory compliance and audit professionals, Woods aims to double turnover (and profit) this year, as well as organising the opening of a New York office in the first half of 2012. His overall strategy will take the business past the 100-employee mark in 2014.
