Young Gun-founded business Deliveroo has partnered with fellow Young Gun-founded company BrewDog, alongside wine merchants Majestic, to launch an alcohol-only delivery service.

The service will see Deliveroo’s bike couriers collect and deliver beverages from eight Majestic Wine locations in London and 20 BrewDog bars across the UK – as well as a number of smaller suppliers such as Honest Brew and Vagabond Wines.

Deliveroo has made claims that wines, beers, craft beers and cocktails could be delivered to consumers doors in as little as 20 minutes. The new service will face competition from Bevy – the start-up backed by Made in Chelsea stars – which promises to deliver alcohol and convenience goods within 30 minutes.

In May, Deliveroo announced plans to courier meals for Pizza Express, replacing its own delivery service in the process.

Launched in 2013 by Young Guns William Shu and Greg Orlowski (Orslowski has since exited the business), Deliveroo’s restaurant food delivery service has witnessed rapid growth in the last few years, raising nearly £140m last year alone to fuel global expansion.
