£150,000 November Start-Up Series funding competition open for entries

Startups and Worth Capital are giving early-stage UK businesses the chance to win SEIS seed funding every month from a £1.8m equity funding pot

Entries for The Start-Up Series – the UK’s largest monthly seed funding competition of its kind – are now open for November.

Launched in October by Startups.co.uk in partnership with experienced investors Worth Capital, The Start-Up Series gives one start-up the chance to secure up to £150,000 in seed funding every month from a £1.8m Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) fund, as well as support from an experienced investor and media coverage on Startups.

To qualify for the competition, your business must be UK-registered and you must be a UK resident aged 18 or over. Your business must have been trading for less than 21 months, have less than £200,000 in gross assets and have fewer than 25 employees.

After applications close, a shortlist of qualifiers will be required to submit a detailed business plan and take part in a video interview with Worth Capital.

The winner is chosen eight weeks after the launch of the competition and will be announced on Startups.co.uk in week 12. View the competition timeline here.

Worth Capital is currently in the process of choosing the winner for the October competition, following hundreds of submissions.

Entries for the November competition of The Start-Up series are open from Tuesday 1 November to Sunday 13 November.
