About the Growing Business export mentoring scheme

How Bulldog's Simon Duffy will be helping a British business access new markets

Growing Business is committed to championing the successful growth of British companies. It was for this reason we teamed up with Simon Duffy, co-founder of male grooming brand Bulldog, to offer readers the opportunity to take part in an export-focused mentoring scheme.

Simon Duffy and co-founder Rhodri Ferrier founded Bulldog in 2006 and have already seen their male skincare products achieve huge success in foreign markets. Bulldog recently secured a major distribution deal, which will see its products launch in all 300 Whole Foods Market store across America.

With such valuable experience under his belt, Simon wanted to help to a promising British business to access new markets, and Growing Business was inundated with entries to its competition to win mentoring from the entrepreneur. The eventual winners were Heidi Crawford and Claudine Sinnett, founders of Brighton-based Organic Monkey, who have developed a range of Fairtrade and organic skincare products for babies.

The founders are now hoping to take advantage of Duffy’s expertise to devise, deliver and tweak a successful exporting strategy and take their business to the next level. Both Duffy and the Organic Monkey founders will be keeping Growing Business readers updated with regular blogs, charting Organic Monkey’s journey over the coming months.
