Ambitious business owners invited to join three day residential seminar

Five-Year Entrepreneurs’ Retreat is a new training event with advice and workshops on planning, marketing, sales, team building and leadership

Budding entrepreneurs are being offered the chance to attend a three-day residential training event to help start a professional services business.

Launched by Dom Moorhouse, who scaled his business Moorhouse Consulting to a £20m valuation within five years, the Five-Year Entrepreneurs’ Retreat intends to help aspiring start-ups build value with advice and workshops on areas such as business plans, marketing, sales and leadership.

Held at the Homewood Park Spa Hotel in Bath, the retreat will run in September and has spaces for 14 business owners with the goal to “provide […] the strategic option for a life-changing, value-realisation-event and personal financial freedoms beyond.”

The upcoming retreat will look to build on the success of the inaugural event which was held in July 2014 with the original attendees having since “stuck together as a professional, mutual support group.”

Commenting on the initiative, Moorhouse said: “The idea for the Retreats came about somewhat serendipitously.

“The aim of the [inaugural] event was to explore in detail the action steps required to build value into a professional service business. The three-days were peppered with expert external speakers, practical sessions where delegates can share and co-review their current growth challenges as well as opportunity for personal goal reflection and setting.

“Fundamentally, it is a very social experience – ambitious entrepreneurs tend to naturally enjoy the company of other such peers.

“The huge benefit of such a trusted cohort of peers is to help you keep this in perspective, to provide support, and to keep you focused on your long-term goals.”
