Angels Den Tech Club invests six-figure sum in Intelligent Positioning

Funding of UK search engine optimisation company marks first software as a service deal

Angel co-investment fund Angels Den Tech Club, has made its first software as a service (SaaS) deal investing a six-figure sum in Intelligent Positioning.

Founded in 2007, the Brighton-based company provides a global search engine optimisation (SEO) platform alongside data analytics and app development services to clients such as Siemens and Sky.

Tech Club, a division of Angel’s Den, focuses on high-growth, enterprise investment scheme (EIS) eligible, technology start-ups looking for £100,000 to £700,000.

Investors meet monthly in London to consider pitches. Members of the 111-strong group felt the SEO business’ success to date and the potential of the industry, which by 2016 is predicted to market globally at $1.6bn, made it stand out.

CEO of Intelligent Positioning, Gary Titterton commented on winning the investment: “The Angels Den investors bring more than capital, they contribute with vast experience and intellect. This combination makes for extremely exciting times for Intelligent Positioning.”
