Market research platform Attest snags $3.1m backing

Survey platform that counts Deliveroo,Twitter and Amazon as clients will use funding to expand into new sectors

Attest, the online market research platform, has raised a $3.1m funding round led by Oxford Capital and Episode 1, alongside a number of angel investors.

Founded in 2015 by Jeremy King, Attest is a technology-driven platform that enables companies to undertake “more research, more often”, by designing surveys, selecting their target audience and incentivising respondents.

The surveys are designed to take less than seven minutes and can be completed on a smartphone, playing on five key emotions: contributing, learning, enjoying, rewarding and feeling valuable. Attest says this increases the likelihood of participation and completion.

Major clients to use the platform include Deliveroo, Twitter, Amazon, Unilever, M&C Saatchi and carwow to name a few.

Attest will use the finance to push its offering out to new sectors and use cases.

King commented: “Demand for information and insight at high speed and large scale has never been greater and many areas of demand are entirely unfulfilled.

“The existing market led for a long time, but they lack the speed, power, efficiency and reach to support modern companies with ever-expanding research needs.  At Attest, we remove all of the bad things about participating in research, and add many different flavours of good things.”

Meriwether Beckwith, associate at Oxford Capital, added: “Marketing is increasingly data driven and Attest has developed a new and disruptive way for businesses to meet their demand for fast, insightful data.

“We believe its innovate tech-enabled method of delivering research and its social media inspired approach to building hard-to-reach research panels means that it has the potential to grow rapidly.”
