Baskin-Robbins launches multi-store franchising opportunity

Ice cream firm seeks entrepreneurs to take over five to 10 stores

The world’s largest ice cream speciality store Baskin-Robbins is offering a multi-store franchise opportunity to ambitious entrepreneurs.

The firm, which already runs a network of over 100 stores across the UK, is looking for franchisees with liquid capital of more than £300,000 to invest in between five and 10 stores.

Promising a potential turnover of £1m in the first year for a network of five stores, the firm offers a long term investment for franchisees with a 20 year franchise agreement.

Baskin-Robbins is hoping that the new plans will accelerate the company’s expansion, while also reducing the investment risk for franchisees, by allowing them to rely on more than one location.

Jim Johnstone, the UK general manager at Baskin-Robbins, which operates 6,700 stores across 50 countries explained why the firm is offering the multi-store deal:  “By developing areas we can ensure that we grow the brand across the UK and not just individual stores.”

He added: “We work in partnership with our franchisees, allowing them to draw upon decades of experience.

“We have a great team here in the UK, dedicated to helping franchisees grow their sales and profitability. All these people are there to support our franchise network as franchising is our business model 100%.”
