Bespoke tailoring firm A Suit That Fits closes £1m round on Crowdcube

Young Gun founded company plans to invest in website development and expand clothing range

Bespoke tailoring company A Suit That Fits has nearly doubled its £500,000 target to secure £993,850 on crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.

A total of 481 investors took part in the round with 9.47% equity offered and a largest single sum of £100,000.

Founded by 2009 Young Guns Warren Bennett and David Hathiramani, the company sells hand tailored suits from £299, both online and through its 30 locations around the country.

Last year A Suit That fits claimed a net profit of £185,000 and in 2013 launched its first international operations with a studio in New York and a franchise operation in Ireland.

The finance will be used to grow the staffing and supply chain, improve its website and expand the clothing range into chinos, jeans, shirts and jackets.
