bfa to host high-profile networking event for franchisees

Celebrating franchising growth in the North of England, the industry body's Great Northern Breakfast will host a range of inspirational presentations

Franchising entrepreneurs in the North of England will be given the opportunity to network with high-profile industry professionals next month at a British Franchise Association (bfa) event, to be held in EventCity, Manchester, on June 16 2017.

Celebrating the continuing growth of franchising, the bfa’s Great Northern Breakfast will enable attendees to hear from a panel of franchising professionals as they share their business stories, while the BBC Today Programme and Newsnight business correspondent Joe Lynam will act as keynote speaker.

Part of a scheme to “put franchising on the map” as an accessible business opportunity, the bfa also plans to run a social media initiative during the week preceding the event, encouraging northern England-based franchise brands and their franchisees to share their success stories online using #bfaGNB17 throughout the week.

With 4,400 franchise business owners creating 62,000 jobs in the north-west, the bfa NatWest Franchise Survey 2015 found that franchising in this region alone contributed £1.6bn to the UK economy – a 23% increase on the previous five years.
