British Franchise Exhibition ramps up for June launch

Manchester event to offer business opportunities and information to aspiring franchisees

Leading two-day franchise event the British Franchise Exhibition is set to return on Friday June 20, showcasing franchise opportunities from across the UK.

Taking place at Manchester’s EventCity, the exhibition will host a variety of leading franchise brands from a range of sectors such as technology, food and property; including Mac Tools, McDonald’s, Agency Express, and Yo Yo Noodle.

The event, which is approved by the British Franchise Association (bfa), will look to provide prospective franchisees with information on the process of franchising with several areas of the exhibition dedicated to offering advice and support.

There will be a ‘Finance Clinic’ to help visitors understand how to secure funding, a ‘Real Franchisee Stories’ area with case studies from a panel of franchisees, an ‘Expert Advice Clinic’ offering one-to-one sessions with solicitors, accountants and consultants, and a ‘Careers Clinic’ to discuss career opportunities.

Free seminar programmes will also be running across both days of the exhibition featuring keynote speeches from the bfa, legal advisers, as well as experienced franchisors and franchisees with topics such as ‘executives in franchising’ and ‘hands-on franchising’.

For parents looking to start a franchise business the event will also host a children’s activity centre, run by the Creation Station, to help free time to “discover more about franchising”.

The bfa will also be hosting a breakfast briefing from 7:45am to 10:00am on the Friday to bring together franchise business leaders, advisors and prospective franchisors and franchisees from across the North of England.

Sponsored by HSBC and Platinum Wave, the ‘Great Northern Breakfast’ will give attendees the ability to network and discuss franchise opportunities in the region with keynote speeches from bfa director general Brain Smart, journalist Adam Shaw, McDonald’s franchisee Anne Wainwright, and Oscar Pet Foods franchise director Simon Bartholemew.

The British Franchise Exhibition will run from June 20 to June 21, to register for free tickets visit www.franchiseinfo.co.uk using promotional code BFEDD. To apply for the Great Northern Breakfast click here.
