Budding franchisees offered easy access to opportunities at new event

Candidates also given free accommodation at Franchise Opportunities Live 2012

An innovative new event is aiming to reduce barriers to entry in the franchise industry, by linking prospective franchisees with suitable franchisors. In a move away from the traditional exhibition format of most franchise events, Franchise Opportunities Live 2012 aims to spare interested parties of searching a large hall for the right opportunities, and instead will pre-match potential franchisees to the recruitment profile of the franchisors in attendance. Prospective franchisees will then have the opportunity to have an in-depth telephone conversation with the franchisors that interest them, before sitting down for a pre-arranged one-to-one interview during the two-day event. The Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel, where the event will take place on 7 and 8 September, will also provide one night’s free accommodation to potential franchisees, courtesy of organisers Venture Marketing Group – as well as laying on an exclusive ice-breaker evening with franchisors on the Friday night. Other features of the event include a Franchise Advice Lounge, hosted by the British Franchise Association (bfa), a Franchisee Panel, where existing franchisees will discuss their own experiences of starting-up, and a Business Plan Clinic.
