Building design startup secures £150k

A designer of contemporary buildings has won initial funding from the North West Equity Fund (NWEF).

Mikano Ltd., which designs its buildings using modular construction systems, has secured £150,000 from the NWEF as part of an over £350,000 funding round that included the company’s management team and a group of private investors.

The deal was completed on 25 August, the NWEF said.

Manchester-based Mikano started trading this year.
