Call centre tech provider NewVoiceMedia rings in $30m BGF Ventures funding
Investment takes total funding to date to over $145m as London-based company looks to boost expansion in the US...
NewVoiceMedia, the London-based cloud technology specialist, has secured an additional $30m funding in a round led by BGF Ventures; the new fund led by Simon Calver, 2015 Startups Awards judge Rory Stirling and Harry Briggs.
Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Eden Ventures, Highland Capital Partners Europe, Salesforce Ventures, and Technology Crossover Ventures also participated in the round.
Founded in 2009, NewVoiceMedia provides cloud-based customer contact technology which enables businesses to connect with their customers worldwide and to deliver a more personalised and unique experience – essentially a digital alternative to traditional call centres.
The company works with over 500 businesses in 128 countries, including PhotoBox, Wocher and JustGiving, and claims to be outperforming the cloud customer contact market fivefold.
The new investment, which follows a $50m Series E round in 2014, takes total funding to over $145m and will be used to develop its international growth plans with a particular focus on expanding in North America and the US as as whole.
Jonathan Gale, NewVoiceMedia CEO, said the investment was recognition of the business’ “incredible recent growth and financial performance”:
“We are delighted to join BGF Ventures’ portfolio. The additional capital from Salesforce Ventures reinforces our position within the Salesforce ecosystem and gives us access to the most experienced and innovative cloud executives, ecosystem and customers to ensure we maintain our impressive growth rate.”

NewVoiceMedia’s platform allows organisations to transform the way they engage and interact with their customers, making communication more personal and valuable. I’ve known Gale and his team for several years and we couldn’t be more excited to be backing them”.
