Card Connection recruits new franchisee for North Wales

Existing franchisees earn up to £50,000 per year

Card Connection has announced the recruitment of new franchisee Robin Brisbourne for North Wales.

The greeting card publisher operates a network of 71 franchises and opportunities are still available for aspiring business owners to acquire an established territory from an existing franchisee, starting from £20,000.

With the potential to earn up to £50,000, responsibilities for Card Connection franchisees include employing a small team and operating a small warehouse for larger territories.

Distributing greeting cards and gifts to 15,000 outlets across the UK and Ireland including Spar, Costcutter, Londis and Total, Card Connection operates a consignment policy, whereby customers do not pay for stock until it is sold.

New franchisee Robin Brisbourne, who funded the North Wales site with a loan from Lloyds TSB, explained his reason for buying into a franchise: “Since leaving school I have run my own businesses in dairy and arable as well as training up to 100 racehorses with my brother.

“With the on-going challenges facing the agricultural industry, we had reached a cross roads.  It was either time to invest heavily and expand the existing business, or do something completely different.”

He added: “I have now completed my initial training at head office, and so far, I have been really impressed with the professionalism of the staff who are particularly helpful and supportive.

“I also love the product and am looking forward to getting out on the road and providing a winning service to the retail customers in my territory very soon!”
