Carpet fitter to expand nationwide

Franchisees will be given own exclusive territory

Edinburgh carpet supply and fitting company Convenient Carpeting has announced plans to expand through franchising.

New franchisees will operate from a van filled with a wide variety of samples and will have their own exclusive territory, the company said.

Convenient Carpeting provides an initial, home-based consultation followed by the supply and fitting of a large range of floor coverings and the licensed disposal of old floor coverings.

“Our success has been built almost entirely on word of mouth recommendations from satisfied clients,” said Ian Walsh, who co-founded the company in 1995.

“The demand for our service is now reaching across the country as more and more people hear about us. Since we are unable to fulfil this demand from our base in Edinburgh we have decided to expand nationwide through franchising.”
