Europe’s 25 Corporate Startup Stars winner takes the top spot for promoting growth through co-innovation with start-ups and scale-ups
Ranking in first place as Europe’s Corporate Startup Star, multinational technology company Cisco has developed an innovative way of engaging with start-ups and scale-ups through its Entrepreneurs in Residence corporate venturing programme.
The core of it is to structure and accelerate strategic relationship building between early-stage companies and Cisco Business Units (BUs), with each company sponsored by a Cisco BU executive.
Specifically targeting start-ups and scale-ups building disruptive technologies, Cisco has developed a strategy that focuses on delivering the ‘ABC’ of start-up-corporate partnerships: agility, business model and continuity.
Cisco’s long-term approach, and the strong collaboration with international partners, has helped the company benefit from significant investment opportunities from across the world.
Cisco Grand Challenge prizes and Cisco-sponsored hackathons for developers building new software capabilities on top of Cisco’s software platform also draw in fresh ideas.
