Do you want to win a fully-funded TV advertising campaign worth thousands for your business? Of course you do. And now you can as top 20 media agency All Response Media, in conjunction with Startups.co.uk, is hunting for the UK’s next TV Star.
The nationwide search to find one fast-growth UK business deserving of a fully funded TV advertising campaign is on. All Response Media will give one company – be it a start-up or established brand not yet on TV – the opportunity to “experience the business growth changing potential that TV advertising provides”.
Last year, the TV Star competition named Calm.com, which was founded by Million Dollar Homepage founder Alex Tew and Moshi Monsters and Firebox.com entrepreneur Michael Acton Smith (right, pitching Calm.com), as its winner. The resulting two-minute ‘Slow TV’ ad campaign is believed to have been a world first.
“The TV Star competition was great for Calm in terms of new app installs and brand awareness,” says Acton Smith. “We learned a lot from ARM and loved how data driven the whole process was.”
Best of the Best and Lostmy.name also emerged from the entry pool to “take the road to rapid growth” with All Response.

How to win
Entrants just need to complete a very brief questionnaire to apply, with those successfully reaching the next round required to fill out a more in depth questionnaire. Finalists will be judged by a panel of high-profile names including All Response Media CEO Andy Sloan; Graze.com CEO Anthony Fletcher, Howzat Media Ventures partner and Cheapflights.com entrepreneur David Soskin; and Startups.co.uk editorial director Ian Wallis.
Judging for the final will take place in April and finalists will get the chance to present their business in a Dragons’ Den-style shoot-out pitch at All Response Media’s Clerkenwell offices.
