Core Technology Systems acquires Parative

Acquisition set to increase ability for businesses to combine Cloud with existing infrastructure

Microsoft partner Core has acquired the London-based IT infrastructure migrations specialist Parative, it was announced yesterday.

The company, a leading UK specialist in consultancy, development and support across Microsoft’s suite of products and services claims the acquisition of fellow Microsoft Gold Partner will broaden its Cloud offering.

Founded in 1990 and with headquarters in Manchester and London, the Microsoft Gold Partner says the acquisition has already strengthened its position within the market, doubling the company’s Office 365 capacity as well as expanding its specialist in-house skills in Windows Azure and Unified Communications.

The purchase follows Microsoft’s recent announcement that it will make Windows Azure Infrastructure Services easily accessible.

Customers using the service will be able to move applications in to the Cloud while using existing company infrastructure services and Cloud platform services.

CEO of Core, Conor Callanan commented on the benefits of the acquisition:

“By doubling our capacity and in-house services at a time when we have seen exponential growth in Microsoft Office 365, there is no reason why this growth should not continue and exceed last year’s record breaking results.”

Lloyd Carne, CEO at Parative said:

“We have extensive experience of complex messaging system design, migration and identity management together with a thriving Office 365 practice. We are looking forward to working with Core and adding great value and advanced skill sets into the current Core dynamic.”
