Global media start-up Culture Trip lands $20m Series A
London-based start-up will use investment to accelerate product development and global expansion
Culture Trip, a global media technology company, has announced the completion of a $20m Series A funding round from the PFF Group.
Founded by psychiatrist Dr. Kris Naudts, London-based Culture Trip offers personalised content and recommendations for culture, food and travel to users around the world.
It has published over 30,000 articles and videos from its offices in London, New York and Tel Aviv, which receive submissions from a global community of more than 40 hubs.
The finance will fuel the development of Culture Trip’s bespoke ‘knowledge graph’ technology and editorial expansion around the world. It will also aid the establishment of a commercial arm to begin to monetise its growing user base.
Naudts commented: “Culture Trip’s knowledge graph allows the creation of a more meaningful experience for our users, deepening the personalisation of content discovery with every new read.
“This investment will enable us to further this technology, and also expand our presence in new hubs around the world, to continue to develop our content offering.”
