Deadline nearing for digital and tech start-ups to apply for London Accelerator Academy

Chance to join seventh semester of White Horse Capital-backed incubator programme

London-based tech start-up incubator the Accelerator Academy has announced the final call for technology entrepreneurs to join the latest round of its 12 week high growth programme.

Now in its seventh semester, the Academy aims to support “ambitious” start-ups looking to grow their business by offering a package of support which includes access to work space, training, mentoring and funding opportunities via an investor day.

Backed by early stage venture firm White Horse Capital, the incubator has already helped to develop several businesses in its previous semesters, including car sharing specialist GoCarShare and online language service Fluentify.

Its Winter 2014 semester, which will launch on January 20, seeks to build on the success of the Academy’s alumni with over 75% of its participants having progressed to secure follow-on funding, marking a total £10m seed finance raised so far.

Accelerator Academy founder and managing partner of White Horse Capital, Ian Merricks, discussed the goals of the scheme: “We are looking to work with disruptive technology start-up companies who are either about to launch or are in their first year of trading.

“For us, it’s all about finding those ambitious and committed founders with scalable businesses, capable of delivering a 10x return on investment within a five-year timescale. We’re not here to teach entrepreneurs ‘how to do it’, but rather ‘how to do it better’.”

The final date to apply for the latest Accelerator Academy programme is Monday 13 January, to enter click here.
