Definitive guide on how to raise and make money from the crowd released

Modwenna Rees-Mogg’s Crowd Funding provides step-by-step guide to using the alternative finance model

A new book offering advice on using crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter and Crowdcube, from both a pitcher and investor perspective, has been announced.

Published by Crimson Publishing, the parent company of Startups.co.uk, the aptly named Crowd Funding seeks to provide tips and insights on a range of crowdfunding areas from what the crowd “likes to fund” to “what happens after you secure the money”.

Written by Modwenna Rees-Mogg, founder and CEO of business angel website Angel News, the crowdfunding guide intends to help readers understand how to: choose the best platform for them, plan and run a successful campaign, invest as part of the ‘crowd’ and even set up their own crowdfunding site.

Crowd Funding_cropIt also incorporates case studies from business owners who have completed successful pitches in order to demonstrate how crowdfunding can be a reliable way of raising finance.

The guide follows on from the growing success and popularity of crowdfunding in the UK with equity-based platform Crowdcube having raised over £10m for UK start-ups so far.

Crowd Funding, published by Crimson Publishing, is available to buy now.
