DineIn.co.uk acquires rival competitor MyDeliveryCab in undisclosed deal

London gourmet food delivery service set for national expansion following take-over

DineIn.co.uk, a start-up that allows you to order food from London’s top restaurants and have it delivered to your home, has acquired its local competitor MyDeliveryCab in a move to support wider expansion.

The deal, the terms of which remain undisclosed, will see MyDeliveryCab’s founders stay with the company as advisors and sees DineIn add its premium restaurant partners and fleet of drivers to its offering.

Founded in 2011 by Evan Graj, DineIn aims to tackle the “perception that takeaway is the same as delivery” offering delivery for a range of foods such as Greek, Indian and Mexican from premium restaurants and chefs.

Earlier this year, the tech start-up successfully raised £310,000 in an oversubscribed crowdfunding round on Crowdcube which it planned to use towards further growth and hinted at a potential acquisition.

Describing its service at the time of the funding round, DineIn founder, Graj, said: “Dine In has solved the logistical challenges of food delivery so this raise will help us deliver quality food to a discerning public who want healthier food delivered to their home and offices.”
