Dream Doors franchise couple top £1m in annual sales

Kitchen retailer celebrates success of Oxford franchisees Elaine and Mike Hurley

UK kitchen “facelift” chain Dream Doors has announced its first franchisees to achieve over £1m in annual sales; husband and wife-duo Elaine and Mike Hurley.

The couple, who run the retailer’s Abingdon showroom, joined the franchise in 2009 and have since sold more than £3m new kitchen fittings and are alleged to have “broken every record held” with the Dream Doors brand.

The duo’s latest record creates a new first after securing £1m in sales for year-end December 2013 but they believe “they certainly won’t be the last” franchisees to reach a seven-figure sum.

With 50 showrooms nationwide, Hampshire-based Dream Doors claims to be Britain’s largest kitchen refurbisher specialising in kitchen fittings and “makeovers” which can be installed in under a week.

It is currently seeking new franchise recruits to drive growth and has franchise packages available  from £23, 825 + VAT with an additional £50,000 required for working capital.

Existing franchise outlets are also available for purchase in Stockport, East Midlands and East Sussex ranging from £50,000 to £150,000.

Mike Hurley commented on the success of his Oxford franchise:

“We were asked to speak at Dream Doors’ Annual Conference at the end of 2010, and I said £1m was achievable. I’m pleased we’ve done it, and that we were the first to do it.”
