Dream Doors on set to achieve expansion targets with new franchisee signing

Kitchen makeover chain’s latest franchisee Ian Sturton has opened a showroom in Wootton Bassett

Kitchen retailer Dream Doors has upped its UK franchise growth with the addition of new franchisee Ian Sturton.

Expanding the franchise brand’s reach to North Wiltshire, Sturton officially opened his kitchen showroom in Wooton Basset this month with the support of town deputy mayor Councillor Ian Ferries, and Dream Doors’ founder and managing director Troy Tappenden.

Established in 1999, Dream Doors specialises in kitchen “makeovers” offering kitchen fit-outs for what it claims is typically half the cost of a comparable new kitchen and states that its top showrooms turnover more than £1m annually.

The kitchen chain is keen to ramp up its franchise recruitment nationwide, and also has existing franchise resales available in Bath, Essex, East Sussex and Kent.

With the potential to be a home-based franchise opportunity for the first six months, the Dream Doors’ franchise package is available for £23,825 +VAT with an additional £50,000 needed for the showroom fit out, vehicle and working capital.

Aspiring franchisees don’t need to have previous experience of the kitchen industry with full sales training provided and support with sourcing local kitchen fitting contractors.

Discussing his Dream Doors’ franchise venture, Sturton said: “We’ve averaged sales of £25,000 a month since we started, and everything has worked out very well,

“We’re well ahead of our business plan, with at least £60,000 of sales to come in. It’s been great and, if I’m honest, it’s been crazy at times as well!”

Dream Doors’ Tappenden added: “I know Sturton will be one of our most successful franchisees.

“He knows what he’s doing, has had a great start already and, with support from my team and his own staff, those sales will continue to flood in.”
