Driver Hire hits fast lane with Belgian Grand Prix car advertisement

Deal set to boost exposure for fast-growing temporary driver franchise

Temporary driver franchise Driver Hire had advertisements displayed on the rear wing of the Marussia Formula 1 team cars in the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend, in a deal facilitated by its equity investment backers LDC.

The deal is set to boost international exposure for the company and its franchisees, which provides temporary drivers and logistics staff to local businesses short of available employees.

Private equity firm LDC is a founding member of the Marussia F1 team and the advertisement comes as a result of its 2011 investment in Driver Hire.

Founded in 1983 by Mark Lawn and John Bussey, Driver Hire’s franchise model has seen strong growth in recent years and the company marked the opening of its 100th franchise office earlier in 2013.

Driver Hire offers new franchises from £30,000, with re-sales of existing franchises costing £40,000 to £50,000. The company provides training, IT infrastructure and marketing to its franchisees.
