Founder: Damian Kimmelman
Launched: April 2011
Website:Duedil.com

Launched in April this year, Duedil is now the world’s largest bank of free company financial information. Short for ‘due diligence’ – the process of evaluating a prospective business partner or deal – the company aims to make business more transparent, helping executives and entrepreneurs make well-informed business decisions.

Founded by Damian Kimmelman, Duedil draws on 30 billion data points, analysing everything from Companies House data to directors’ blogs and health and safety records, to return relevant information on any company or director in the UK and Ireland.

Duedil was seed-funded by Passion Capital, and has just completed a second funding round led by Jonty Hurwitz, chief technology officer of fast-growing short-term lender Wonga.com.

Users already span the globe, ranging from sole traders to hedge fund managers, accountants and journalists. 29-year-old Kimmelman was also named a Young Gun by Growing Business earlier this year.
